Privacy policy

If you visit the site only to read it, we ask you for no personal data. There is no membership, no account, and nothing to enter in order to see the content.

When you fill in the contact form, only what you type is stored: name, email, phone (if you provide one), subject and message. Alongside these we keep which page the message was sent from and when.

Data from the contact form is used only to answer your question. You are not added to a marketing list, you will not receive unsolicited messages, and this data is not sold to third parties.

Knowing which page a message came from tells us which parts of the site leave a reader's question unanswered; it is used to improve the content.

The site sets no cookie that is not required for it to work. No advertising cookies or ad-network trackers are used.

Google Analytics 4 may be used to measure visitor numbers. That service sets its own cookies and collects browser, device and approximate location information. If no measurement ID is configured, the script is never loaded at all.

You can block cookies in your browser settings; the readability of the site is unaffected.

Weather and snow data come from Open-Meteo. Those requests are made from our server, not from your browser, so a visitor's IP address never reaches the data provider.

There are no embedded videos, maps or social media widgets on the site. When you follow an outbound link, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Contact messages are kept for a reasonable period after the exchange is complete and then deleted. Analytics data is subject to that service's own retention policy.
